Territorial Pay Has Been Raised

Beginning on Tuesday of Jast week 4,500 emp]o,rccs of the territor,y, inchiding 2,500 school teachers, found an additional 6 per cent added to their pay checks in accordance with terms of an act of the 1935 legisJature recently approved by the governor. * The 6 per cent pay increase restores m fu3J to governmont workers the 10lpcr cent pay cut of 1932. Bestoration of the remaining 6 per cent will add annually to the territori'al payroll, Actlng Governor Charles M. Hite has pointed out. , Individual increases range from $2.50 to $42.00 a month.
