Docents' Applications Available at ʻlolani

Applications for the next docent training progam for 'Iolani Palaee are now available by calling Keola Cabacungan at 536-3552. Program participants for the January-May 1988 training program will be chosen from those who submit applications. Prospective docents will participate in a 20-week training program of lecture, field trips and onsite experience in interpretation. Following course eompletion and graduation into the Docent Corps, a eommitment of one-half day (two tours) per week is requested for one year. Through the volunteer Docent Program, residents, visitors and students from all over the world are given the experience of reliving an exciting and historically important period of Hawaiian history.
