The purpose of ALU LIKE's Summer Youth Employment and Training Program is to assist Native Hawaiian Youth by: o lmproving their academic performance and reading comprehension ski!ls through a summer enrichment program whieh will combine work experience with remedial and/or vocational exploration. o lmproving school retention and completion rates. o lmproving their employability skills by providing program activities~Classroom Training (CRT), Work Experience (WEX), On-the-Job Training (OJT).
