According to OHA's attorney, Sherry Broder, Native Hawaiians ean be distinguished as a POLITICAL Group, rather than a race, and limiting participation in the OHA elections to Native Hawaiians is based on authority set forth in the U.S. Constitution. I would like to point out to Ms. Broder that there is NO PROVISION in the U.S. Constitution for (a) invading a friendly, impuissant nation and (b) appropriating its resources by unlawful military

occupation. The term Hawaiian is a term of nationality as opposed to ethnicity or a poliūeal group. No matter how many Hawaiian poliūeal groups are out there, it does not negate the fact that the Kingdom of Hawai'i exists! The Newlands Resolution
