Honolulu-born David S. Kanui and his wife, Lula, were a very popular touring and variety act during the 1920s and 1930s. They recorded in Berlin in 1922 and Paris in 1933 and 1934, and their music has been mueh used in recent CD compilations. Very little, however, is known of these outstanding performers, and we would love to contact descendants and family members to exchange information and music. Can anyone help?
