CBED funding
OHA is accepting applieations for its Coimnunity-Based Eeonomie Development (CBED) program, whieh was allocated a minimum of $350,000 to fund
projects for Fiscal Year 2007. To be eligible, organizations must be a govermnent agency or a nonprofit organization incorporated in Hawai'i, or a membershipbased organization that demonstrates outreach and organizing activities. Proposals will be accepted until Oct. 31 or while funds are available. Funding awards are available up to $50,000 per organization for a term of not more than a year. For multi-year projects, applicants must submit a new proposal for eaeh year. Awardees must support the development of sustainable eeonomie activities that serve Native Hawaiian needs and achieve measurable outcomes in terms of generating employment, increasing ineome, improving eeonomie literacy and creating eeonomie opportunities.
