KE ALOHA AINA

 

KE ALOHA AINA, NOVEMABA POAONO 20, 1897.

 

NA WA IKE ALII.

     Ua hooka i wale ae nei ka Hooilina Moi i kona mau la e ike mai ai i Kona mau makaainana ma keia mua aku, oia na la Poaha a me Poalima o kela a me keia pule, ma Kona home noho ma Ainahau, Waikiki.  Nolaila, ua makemake ia ka lahjui Hawaii Ponoi e kipa aku e ike iaia iloko oia mau la, elike me Kana i hoonohonoho ai, i loaa ona manawa kupono no kekahi poe i ike ole Iaia, ma ke ike Alii o ka Poaono aku nei i hala.

     O ke aloha no ke kumu i kukulu ia ai o ko makou ale a paa e ka mea nana i hoau mua i na a ia au wale aku la, a oia no ka makou e hana nei a hiki i keia la, me ka loli ole ae i hookahi iniha o ko makou manopaa, a oia manaopaa no, no ke aloha i ka aina, ka lahui a me ke alii, oia no ia a makou e oili aku la i keia la, ma ke kahua hana hou a makou e alo aku ai iloko o ke ehuehu ma keia mua aku.

     Nolaila, i ko makou wa e kipa kauhale aku ai, mai hoopalaimaka mai, a mai hookomo iho i na manao nonohua o ke aloha ole, aka, e lawe ae kela a me keia a kukulu iho i ka manao pilipaa mau a kakou e na'i nei, he aloha au i ka aina nona keia kino i mohai ia mai kinohi mai, a pela mau aku a hiki i ka hopena.  O ka makou ia e upu mau aku la, e paa mau kela makia iloko o ko kakou puuwai no ka wa mau loa.

PUALI MAKAI HOU.
