150 BIRTHS THIS FEBRUARY

One hundred fifty births were recorded on the Big Island during the month of February, according to the report issued by the Bureau of Vital Statistics. The birth record includes 34 in Hilo city, 32 in South Hilo, 19 in Hamakua, 12 in North Kohala, 12 in South Kona, 12 in Puna, 10 in North Kona, 6 in Kau, 6 in North Hilo and 4 in South Kohala. Other records revealed by the bureau were 38 marriages, 22 of which took place in Hilo city; 64 deaths, 21 of which occurred in Hilo; 11 deaths under one year, one maternal death and three children.
