Favorites Win In Cage Games

The opening games of the Hilo Basketball league were played last Saturday evening at the Hilo Center with the favorites in all three affairs emerging victorious. In the first affair the Wreckers displayed their same championship form toannihilate the Fire Fighters by a 59 to 15 score. By continuing this same style of play their is no doubt that the Wreckers will finish on top at the end of the season. The second affair saw the Eagles havea difficult time with the Pirates barely managing to win by a 39 to 31 count. Both teams played fast and clean. In the final affair the Dragons displayed plenty of power to defeat the Amateurs by a 50 to 38 count. The dragons will evidently by the biggest thorn in the side of the champion Wreckers.
