Four lecture and slide shows, two field trips and a hike to the summit of the Koolau range are scheduled in the Moanalua Gardens Foundation's first 1985 Living History Series.

The lineup includes an interesting variety of subjects, such as the latest news in Hawaiian archaeology; Hawaiian artifacts rarely on exhibit at the Bishop Museum; native Hawaiian insects; taro and bananas; bird pop-

ulation of Rabbit (Manana) Island and a field trip there; and a five-mile roundtrip hike to the Koolau summit.
