Keiki hula competition runs Aug. 5-7 at Blaisdell Arena

Blaisdell Center Arena. Five hundred youngsters 6-12 years oid will represent 25 hālau frora O'ahu, Maui and Hawai'i. The eompeūlion begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday wilh solo eompeimon for the Miss and Master Keiki Hula title. On Friday starting at 6 p.m. hula kahiko wiil be performed. Hula 'auana (modern) will begin Saturday at noon. Tickets may be purchased at the NBC box office: reserved seats are $7.50 and general admission $6.
