Council condemnation plans asinine Geographically, lands whieh we know as Kuapā Isle were nonexistent prior to the '60s, including hundreds of acres surrounding that vast stink swamp old timers remember. Bishop Estate and its developers created this isle for the neh in its present valuable majestic form. It is unfair that today, a minority group, residing on Kuapā Isle, who are the elite, who ean afford high powered attorneys, who have strong political and governmental influence in the City Council, are using every means to force lower price fee simple sale of these leased lands and breaking sworn contract with Bishop Estate owners. Our City Council and Legislature condone contractbreaking of Bishop Estate lands by the rich, as long as it is NOT city or state leasehold contracts. For the City Council to even suggest a resolution to CONDEMN this property is so "'ōkole" or asinine, it's unbelievable. What does the Council plan to do? Kiek out all the complaining condo dwellers, tear down the condo's and create a Hanaumatype PAv'-avyfiu-<;n!ec pafk :'_ n,j _ "Eh brudda» maybe the Council have a smart bomb plan to eondemn the riches on this isle, buy

out the leaseholds at Bishop Estate prices, make the condos affordable and replace eomplainant contract leasehold-break-ers with us Kūhio Park Terrace residents? Wfiat you tink? No more hakakā (trouble) after that. They really need a KPT type establishment over there for keep their mouth shut and no steal from the Hawaiians again." Ioane Kanohokuahiwi Kailua-Kona
