OHA awards $50,000 in scholarships

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs recently awarded scholarships totaling $50,000 to 50 students. Created seven years ago, the OHA scholarship program provides $1000 scholarships to help students with their college expenses. These scholarships also aid students who do not qualify for existing scholarship programs. Aiding OHA in flnding qualified applicants is the Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate (KSBE) Financial Aid department, whieh processes and

reviews the applications. If you are a student or know someone who is, eall the OHA education division for a scholarship guide to start planning. This scholarship program is open to all students who attended school in the State of Hawai'i.
