To all kanaks: We have been standing strong - let not your hearts be filled with shame, We are what we are, a proud people, īn the spirit of our ancestors of these lands; in the roots of our ways; we will sur~ vive, We must survive — the lands, the oceans, our children, We must teach them the ways of old, so they may be pono, ī as well as many like me who are in prisons are kanaks and have not that freedom to make pono for our children's ways, Too many broken families, too many broken dreams, not enough love, For you who are free, teach them well, Love to all my kanaks, from a peaceful plaee in time - Miloli'i, Richard Ke'oke'o Taytor Hālawa OHA reserves the right to edit all letters for length, defamatory and libelous material, and other objectionable content, and reserves the right to print.
