Summer school aid

Alu Like and Kamehameha Schools have signed an agreement to sponsor a Native Hawaiian Summer School Assistance Program. The program will: • Provide financial assistance for about 1,300 students who demonstrate financial need to attend Department of Education Summer Schools in Grades K-12, with preference given to students of Hawaiian ancestry. • Provide individual scholarship awards up to $160.

• Tutor and counsel students on eaeh school site. The deadline to receive applieations is May 7, 2004. Applications will be processed in the order received. Application forms are now available at all DOE Schools and Alu Like offices.
