Deadline is Nov. 28 to apply for 12 spots in the 2009-10 hni Ho'ōla program, a post-baccalaureate program of the University of Hawai'i lohn A. Burns School of Medicine. Successful eompleūon of the yearlong program gains students entry into the UH medical school. Eligible students are from socially, educationally or eeonomically disadvantaged backgrounds who have demonstrated a strong conunitment to serve areas of need in Hawai'i and the U.Saffiliated Pacific Islands.
