Hawai'i monarch King Kamehameha was honored at the U.S. Capitol on June 1 1 with a lei draping ceremony attended by several Hawai'i officials - including Office of Hawaiian Affairs trustees, members of Hawai'i's Congressional delegation and state and county officials. Coinciding with Kamehameha Day celebrations in Hawai'i, the 48th annual event was organized by the Hawai'i State Society of Washington, D.C., and included performances by hula hālau from Maryland, Viriginia and Washington, D.C. - Photos: Miehael J.
