Federal and State Transportation Administrators Meet With OHA

At the request of the U.S. Department of Tronsportotion (USDOT), odministrotors from the Office of Howoiion Affoirs (OHA) met with USDOT Deputy Secretary for Tribal Affairs Arlando Teller (Navo|o) on April 18, 2023, at OHA's Honolulu office. The meeting was to learn how the USDOT ean better consult with Native Howoiion orgonizations at a policy level. The meeting was olso ottended by representatives of the Federal Highwoys Administrotion (FHA), the Federal Aviation Administrotion (FAA) and the Federol Tronsit Administration (FTA), as well os the Howoi'i Department of Transportation (HDOT). While in Howoi'i Teller and his team conducted consultotion sessions with community leaders on Kauo'i, Maui, O'ahu ond Howoi'i lslond.
