ITALY TO HALT AFRICAN WAR

The Italian high command has announced that it has decided to suspend firing and bombing operations against Ethiopia as a result of Premier Mussolini's decision to negotiate the Italo-Italian dispute before the League of Nations. Even if peace negotiations fail the decision may mean the end of ItaloEthiopian hostilities for at least six months due to the beginning of the rainy season expected within the next two weeks.
