TAKES DOG 4,500 MILES FOR CURE

George McDonough, city employe, of Lowell, Mass. thought so much of his two-year-old German shepherd dog that he took the animal on a 4,500 mile trip for a mange cure. American veterinarians had told McDonough that his dog's variation of the disease was incurable, but the man did not give up hope. He packed himself and the dog to Berlin, where a 40 cent treatment that lasted an hour at the Veterinarians Surgeon's hospital assured the dog's complete recovery. After it was over the man and beast headed home, arriving axactly three weeks after they had left.
